MyStory
Rarely in my life can I recall a better feeling than signing my offer sheet. With one quick stroke of the pen, I felt like I had validated all the late nights spent during the course of my college career writing papers, cramming for midterms, and doing problem sets which read like foreign languages. I felt like I found the end game of college. My confirmation of employment signified my status as 'Fall Quarter Senior with Job In Hand .' Life for me became a six month celebration of going out five nights a week, partying with friends, taking trips, and just relishing the moment. The remaining two quarters were some of the most exhilarating times of my life. And forever will I cherish the innocence and happiness I felt.
My goal is to get you here, to be able to live the senior dream. This however is no easy feat. It requires tremendous preparation, discipline, and a little bit of luck. Consulting interviews are some of the most challenging and mentally demanding interviews that exist. Nothing in college has really prepared you for the words, "You are a fruit juice company looking to improve your supply chain. What do you do?" And unfortunately, all strategy consulting firms use this type of interview format.
Never in your life will you have this easy of access to so many consulting firms. Trust me after the fall season, landing an interview let alone a job with a major consulting is tremendously difficult. Companies fulfill their junior level targets almost strictly through fall recruiting. This means that you only get one shot to interview, one shot to get the job. The good news however is that if you can get the interview, the playing field levels. Your candidacy will be judged by your performance during the interview rather than your credentials. Someone 'good on paper' with the high GPA and internship experience but does not possess the ability to navigate a case will not get the job over someone who manages the case, exudes charisma, and is likeable.
And that's why I've started CaseAce. Through my program, I will help you understand how to confidently walk into an interview and perform well in both the qualitative and quantitative portions of the interview. That after passing the round of fit questions, you can dive into a case completely locked in confidently knowing that you have the ability to apply a fundamental framework to perform well. Understanding where to begin and how to proceed is by far the most critical step towards acing the case and is nowhere near as easy as it sounds. "You're a metal bolt manufacturing company with declining sales. How do you increase profitability?'
